The Oakland Athletics took a 10-1 beating today from the New York Mets at Citi Field in New York. The A’s allowed 10 runs on 12 hits in the game. Scott Kazmir suffered the loss for the A’s. The lefty allowed a season high seven runs on eight hits over his three innings of work. Despite the loss, with a record of 47-30, the A’s maintain their status of having the best record in all of baseball, and are four games up in the American League West. They will be back in action tomorrow night, as they send Brad Mills to the hill to face Zack Wheeler and the Mets.
