Last week Dodger’s Clayton Kershaw. This week Giant’s Tim Lincecum. “The Freak” threw his second no-hitter yesterday, June 25.

Lincecum faced the San Diego Padres, going into this game with a 5-5 record, 4.90 ERA, and a previous no-hit experience against the Padres under his belt. Almost a year ago, Lincecum no-hit the Padres with 148 pitches on July 13. This year Lincecum accomplished his second no-hitter, not only in his major league history, but again against the Padres with 113 pitches and 73 being strikes.

Lincecum was not only a great defensive player this game, but also helped himself offensively with two hits and scoring two of the four runs. Buster Posey was also an additional help by going 4-for-4 with two RBIs.

Lincecum added the 16th no-hitter in Giants history, and also joined both Dodger’s players Josh Beckett and Clayton Kershaw with the third no-hit game this season.
