The Oakland Athletics enjoyed a day off today, getting to rest before heading out to Miami to begin a three game set against the Marlins. The two teams will face off for the first time this year. Oakland will send righty Jesse Chavez to the hill to face off against Marlins rookie Anthony DeSclafani. Chavez is 6-4 this year, with a 2.71 ERA. He worked seven strong innings against the Red Sox in his last outing. However, historically Chavez does not pitch well against the Marlins, and has a 7.94 ERA over his eight appearances against Miami. First pitch is at 7:10 EST at Marlins Park in Miami.
