The Oakland A’s were able to pick up another win today, topping the Miami Marlins 9-5 in one of the most thrilling victories of the 2014 season. Oakland blew a four-run lead in the sixth inning, when the Marlins knocked in five runs on six hits to give themselves a one run lead. The A’s struck again in the eighth, scoring one more to tie things up going into the ninth when they exploded for four runs to seal the victory. A crew-chief review of a crucial play at home plate in the ninth over-ruled the home plate umpire’s call to give the A’s the lead again. Reliever Luke Gregerson got the win for the A’s, moving him to 2-1 on the year. The Fish will try again with the A’s again tomorrow, with Sonny Grey going for Oakland, looking for his eighth win. First pitch is at 1:10 PM EST at Marlins Park in Miami.
